Know all Men by these Presents that We Rinchie Quarterman, Widow, Joseph Quarterman, & John Norman, Planters, all of Liberty County in the said State, are held and firmly bound and obliged unto Thomas Baker Register of Probate for the said County of Liberty in the full and just Sum of Six Hundred Pounds Sterling, to be paid to the said Thomas Baker, or his Successors in the said Office, or their Assigns To which Payment well and truly to be made & done, We bind our Selves, and each by himself, our, and each of our Heirs, Executors, & Administrators, and every of them, for and in the whole, firmly by these Presents, sealed with our Seals, and dated the third Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred, and Eighty nine, and in the Thirteenth Year of the Independence of the United States of America -- -- --

The Condition of this Obligation is such that if the within bounden Rinchie Quarterman, Joseph Quarterman, and John Norman Administrators of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, Rights, and Credits of Thomas Quarterman Junior, late of Liberty County, Planter, deceased, do make, or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory, of all and singular the Goods, Rights, and Credits of the said Deceased, which have, or shall come, to the Hands, Possession, or Knowledge of them the said Administrators or into the Hands & Possession  of any other Person, or Persons for them, and the Same so made, do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the Register of Probate Office, in Liberty County on or before the _____ [blank space left unfilled] Day of _____ [blank space left unfilled] next ensuing; And the same Goods, Rights, and Credits, and all other the Goods, Rights, and Credits of the said Deceased, which at the time of his Death, or at any Time after, shall come to the Hands, and Possession of the said Administrators, or into the Hands and Possession of any other Person, or Persons, for them, do well and truly administer according to the Law.  And further do make, or cause to be made a just and true Account of the said Administration, at, or before on Year and a Day after the Date hereof, and all the Rest & Residue of the said Goods, Rights, and Credits, which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators Accounts, the Same being first examined and allowed of by the Judge, or Judges for the Time being, shall deliver and pay to such Person, or Persons respectively, as the said Judge, or Judges, by his or their Decree, or Sentence, pursuant to the true Intent and Meaning of this Act, shall limit and appoint, and if it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will and Testament was made by the Deceased, and the Executor, or Executors therein named do exhibit the Same unto the said Office, making Request to have it allowed and approved, accordingly of the said Administrators, within bounders [?: difficult to read] being thereunto required, ______ [?: difficult to read] and deliver the said Letters of Administration/approbation of such Testament being first had and made in the said Offices then this Obligation to be void and of none Effect, or else to remain in full Force and Virtue.
