--OBITUARY-- Mr. C.P. McCorkle Sr. Retired merchant THOMSON -- Mr. C. Pace McCorkle Sr., 73, of 304 Lee St., died Friday, July 20, 1990, at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta. Graveside services were held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 1990, in Westview Cemetery, with the Revs. Alvin Taylor and Lee Almy officiating. Mr. McCorkle, a native of McDuffie County, had retired as a merchant. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of White Oak United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth McCorkle; a son, Mr. C.P. "Sunny [Sonny]" McCorkle Jr., Thomson; three daughters, Jennie Juidrey [Guidry], Marietta, Mary Ann Godfrey, Savannah, and Claudia Primrose, Augusta; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
